First 24 hours
- Rest, and avoid strenuous activity
- Apply a cold pack to the outside of the face as instructed
- Take medications exactly as prescribed
- Avoid disturbing the surgical area, and avoid using a straw
- Choose soft, cool foods
When to call us
- Bleeding that does not slow with gentle pressure
- Swelling that increases after the third day
- Fever, or pain not controlled by your medication
- Any concern about your healing
