Dr. Neil LandyDMD, MSD

Dr. Neil Landy is a periodontist: a dentist with additional specialty training in the gums, the bone that supports the teeth, and dental implants. He sees patients at our Virginia Beach Hilltop office on First Colonial Road.

Dr. Landy earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. He then earned a Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. His undergraduate degree is from Emory University.

Alongside his practice, Dr. Landy is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Virginia Dental Association, wrote “Peer Review: A Thirty-Year Perspective” for the Virginia Dental Journal, and is recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Dentist in periodontics.

His care follows the practice's priorities: keep natural teeth whenever it is clinically appropriate; when a tooth cannot be predictably kept, plan the implant carefully around the bone, the gums, and the final restoration; and work alongside each patient's own dentist.

A first visit with Dr. Landy is a conversation, not a commitment. He reviews your concerns and health history, examines your gums and bone support, explains what he finds in plain language with every reasonable option, including the option to wait, and sends a summary to your dentist.
