Do you need a referral?
No. You can request a consultation with Madan Periodontics directly. Many patients are referred by their general dentist, who can send X-rays and records through our secure referral form, but a referral is not required. Insurance plans vary, so it is worth checking your own plan's rules.
How a periodontist works with your dentist
A periodontist treats the gums, the supporting bone, and implant sites. Your general dentist continues your routine care and restorations. After your consultation we send your dentist a summary of what we found and the proposed plan, so care stays connected.
Common questions
Is bleeding when I floss normal?
Occasional bleeding can happen, but gums that bleed regularly are a common sign of inflammation and worth having checked.
What happens at the first visit?
We review your concerns and health history, examine your gums and bone support, explain the findings in plain language with every reasonable option, and send a summary to your dentist.
