At Madan Periodontics, our team is excited to help our patients on the journey to a happier and healthier smile. Many people don’t realize the important role periodontics plays in improving oral health and maintaining your natural smile. Periodontal disease can occur when gingivitis, the infection and inflammation of gums due to bacteria growth, progresses past a certain point. Your gums may begin to recede, leading to soreness and possible tooth loss. Our goal is to stop this disease in its tracks before it gets to the point that it threatens the long-term health of your smile.
Our team strives to make all of our patients feel comfortable and excited about their appointments. We have worked diligently to create a welcoming atmosphere that relaxes our patients even as they receive treatment. While no one ever wants to deal with periodontal disease, we are passionate about helping you work toward better oral health and a smile you can be proud to wear. We have many services and procedures that are designed to slow this process and encourage regeneration and growth. Whether you need preventive care or need help treating more severe issues, our specialists are here to educate you on your options and help you make the right treatment decision for your smile.
During your first visit to our office, you will immediately notice the friendly and professional atmosphere we’ve cultivated. We love what we do, and we always go the extra mile to make sure you receive the highest quality of care. Your initial visit will last around thirty minutes to an hour, during which we will spend time getting to know your needs and goals for your oral health.
Our team enjoys getting to know our patients to provide more tailored care during their time with us. We will also review your medical and dental history and perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums. We typically use this initial consultation to diagnose your periodontal condition and propose a treatment plan to improve your dental and overall health.
While we enjoy having our patients in the office, we know that it can be challenging at times to schedule your day around a periodontist visit. We always strive to honor your investment of time by getting you in the chair as quickly as possible once you arrive. Another way we minimize your time in the office is by mailing health history and registration forms for you to fill out before your first appointment. This will give us more time to review your case and be better prepared for your appointment. When you do come in, we ask that you provide the following information:
- Your referral slip (if you have one), health history, and registration forms
- Any X-rays from your referring dentist (if given), including any panoramic X-ray taken within the past six
- A list of medications you are currently taking
- Your dental insurance card, if insured
We offer various top-of-the-line services that may benefit your oral health, and during your first visit, we will be able to narrow down which procedures would be the most impactful. Our office houses many different devices that serve as great tools for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease. We use CT scans, digital impressions, and digital X-rays to better identify oral health issues in a comfortable and non-invasive way.
Once we’ve figured out what your unique treatment plan looks like, our office coordinator will discuss fees and payment arrangements with you. We offer various payment options that are designed to make our services accessible for all who need them. In addition, we accept most dental insurance plans and a variety of credit cards for your convenience. If you have any questions about the financial aspects of treatment, we encourage you to reach out to our office so one of our knowledgeable team members can give you the information you need.
Please arrive approximately ten minutes before your consultation so that we can verify any information. A parent or guardian must accompany patients under 18 to this consultation appointment. During your first visit, one of our team members will discuss a treatment timeline with you and help you schedule your next appointment. We are excited to help our patients achieve healthier smiles, and a first visit is the first step toward a lifetime of happy smiles.
